French Toast Sticks

     Hey all!
How about a fun breakfast!  We are celebrating our Takesgiving this year yet again!  We love to post our annual takesgiving video and why not celebrate with a breakfast!  Now we know how popular french toast is and we have made that video so why not mix it up!  French Toast sticks are fun and easy!  These must have been at the table with the Native Americans right?  Next to the turkey?  So why buy them in the store when you can make them at home!  They are easier than you think and these came out wonderful!  A few key ingredients and you can have a fun hand held breakfast!  Check out all the info below to see how we put this all together!

Heat your oven to a low temp/setting. 175-200 Degree's In a large bowl add 3 eggs, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and the salt. Mix well and heat up a large skillet. Add some butter to your pan, just a little to melt and coat the bottom. Start dipping the strips in the egg mix and coat well. Place in the pan. Heat should be med to high heat. Let cook for a minute or so and flip, check to make sure the side looks crispy. After a few more minutes flip them on the sides as well to cook those. Take off and place on a cooling rack and put in the oven that is set to low to keep cool while cooking all the others up. Finnish up all the others and plate them up. Add powdered sugar and syrup then serve!

Here they are!

They came out really well and had a great crispy outside and soft inside! It was so much fun making these because usually we just buy them! Check out our video below to see how we put this all together!
