How To Cook Pasta

Hello all!

It's Pasta Time! Pasta is a staple in many homes.  It is affordable, tasty and you can eat with pretty much nothing added or mix it right into a larger meal!  You can do so much with, even make pasta necklaces!  Ok we maybe off track with that one.  However cooking pasta is something people maybe doing wrong.  Now most will tell you it isn't that hard to cook pasta.  You boil water and dump the pasta in.  However pasta can be under or over cooked.  We are here to give some great pointers and tips on how to cook your pasta to perfection!  We think you will enjoy this post and if you have anything to share please do so below!

Before we start with the tips from the video we do have one big one!  Pasta doesn't take that long to cook.  You will see this as you read our post.  So do not cook it to early.  You will either let it sit to long in the water or it will cool down to fast after.  Chef says to start your pasta toward the end.  Boiling water doesn't take that long either so don't panic!  Unless the pasta is used in the dish you can leave it till the end!

Tips:
Tip 1: Use Cold Water
Tip 2: Salt as the water starts to boil Tip 3: Put some olive oil in after the pasta is added Tip 4: Bring the pasta to a boil. Once it reaches a boiling point turn the burner off and let cook for 7 minutes Tip 5: Drain your pasta and place the strainer in the pot as you dress the pasta.

Here is the Pasta we made.

We do hope you enjoyed our tips and be sure to check out our video!  Chef feels people need to boil their pasta way longer than they should.  He feels the best tip is 4!  Once you pour your pasta in the water bring it back up to a boil.  Then shut the heat off and let sit for 7 minutes.  This will really cook mostly any pasta to perfection.  Some thicker styles may need more time, some thinner ones a touch less.  Keeping the heat off while cooking will not allow the pasta to over cook.
Please check our the video to see more!

Thank you again for checking out our site and channel!  We do hope you learned a few fun things and enjoyed it!  Have a great day everyone and keep cooking!
