Tip 2: Salt as the water starts to boil Tip 3: Put some olive oil in after the pasta is added Tip 4: Bring the pasta to a boil. Once it reaches a boiling point turn the burner off and let cook for 7 minutes Tip 5: Drain your pasta and place the strainer in the pot as you dress the pasta.

We do hope you enjoyed our tips and be sure to check out our video! Chef feels people need to boil their pasta way longer than they should. He feels the best tip is 4! Once you pour your pasta in the water bring it back up to a boil. Then shut the heat off and let sit for 7 minutes. This will really cook mostly any pasta to perfection. Some thicker styles may need more time, some thinner ones a touch less. Keeping the heat off while cooking will not allow the pasta to over cook.
