I have been making breakfast wraps for several years now. For all my friends and family that have tried them I have had wonderful reviews. So today I want to share my first breakfast meal with you on the Cooking Corner!
This breakfast wrap is very easy to make and you can add or subtract items at your pleasure so don't be afraid to do so! The following recipe will feed about 4 people, you can feed more or less depending how much you fill your wraps. What I like most is they are easy to make, fill you up and give you lots of energy to start the day and kids love them! You can look over this post and video and follow it or substitute to your liking! However I would recommend this breakfast and I hope you try it out.
Prep Time: 5
Cook Time: 15
Total Time: 20
Ingredients:
6 Large Eggs
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 Vegetable Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Cup cut up Turkey
1/2 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 Tablespoons Milk
4 Wraps whatever style you like
Directions:
In a small bowl whisk the eggs, milk, salt and Pepper
In a large skillet, heat a little oil.
Add onions and cook till slightly brown
Add the egg mixture and cook over medium heat until eggs are starting to harden
Add turkey and fold into the eggs.
Add cheese once the eggs are almost all cooked, depending how runny you like them.
Once cooked place a scoop or two in the center of the tortillas and roll up.
Fold in the sides to keep the rap together.
Cut down the center and use a toothpicks to hold.
You can also place them in a Panini grill and grill them!
If you don't have a Panini grill and want them cripsy you can place them on a sheet pan in the oven at 400 degrees till they are golden brown. I would spray each side with non stick cooking spray first.
Serve with a healthy side like fruit or cottage cheese!
This makes a great parenting breakfast because it is healthy and kids will love it! Our daughter always ask when we can have wraps. When we do make them she absolutely loves them. She likes them grilled or not grilled. The mix of eggs and turkey provide a healthy and filling meal to give you and your family energy with a low fat content. The cleanup is easy and if you are on the go you can take this too.
*Please note, don't eat and drive even if it is a wrap*
I hope you enjoyed this breakfast meal and be sure to add any other fun thinks you wish.
Remember.
